Zakat Calculator
Compute the zakat (2.5%) due on your liquid wealth — cash, TADAWUL stocks, sukuk, REITs, gold, silver, business assets — net of debts payable in the same year. Nisab threshold is computed from the gold (or silver) spot price you enter. Runs entirely in your browser. No donation buttons. No charity-funnel UI.

Notes
- Rate: 2.5% — the canonical Sunni zakat al-māl rate.
- Hawl: the calculator assumes you've held this wealth for one full lunar year. If you haven't, defer.
- Nisab basis: most Saudi households use gold-nisab (85 g of pure gold). Silver-nisab (595 g) yields a lower threshold — meaning zakat becomes obligatory on smaller wealth — and is the more cautious reading. Either is defensible; pick once and stay consistent year over year.
- No live prices. Paste current spot from a source you trust (your bank app, SARMARS, etc.). The tool never reaches the network for prices.
- This is an estimator, not a fatwa. For doctrinal edge cases (jewelry, retirement savings, partial-year wealth) consult a qualified scholar.
